The interdisciplinary installation ‘Winti na rutu’ (Sranan Tongo for: ‘Winti is roots’) visualises Linger’s ongoing exploration into the Afro-Surinamese religion Winti, the religion of his enslaved ancestors.
The installation consists of a 9 cubic meter ‘mamio’ (Surinamese patchwork) and a short film (see below).
